May Assignments
May is always a strange month with Bank Holidays at the start and end.
Scheduling training is difficult when many staff take the opportunity to combine the Bank Holiday with annual leave.
However, May proved to be a busy month with a number of short, sharp interventions.
Assignments included:
- A two day Project Management course for account managers and project leaders at a software engineering company. The course focused on effective change and client management in a project environment.
- Two very different Personal Effectiveness courses were run for two very different organisations. The first for a group of county council leisure centre managers which focused on Communication and Time Management. The second for a group of engineering graduates working for a large consultancy.
- Two workshops were run with cohorts of managers for one of the largest independent training organisations in Wales. Both workshops are a part of a comprehensive management development programme and covered Motivating Others and Stress Awareness.
- Appraisal Training for a group of managers for one of the UKs largest port authorities.
- Facilitation of a meeting to identify ways to embed a safety culture into an oil and gas service sector organisation.
- The first of four one-to-one coaching sessions for a manager in an engineering consultancy.
- A planning meeting for a large interaction event for over 80 new starters, new graduates, apprentices and business trainees for one of the UK's largest engineering and manufacturing companies.
