June Assignments
As the caps and gowns return to the cupboard for another year, this year's graduates start preparing for the world of work. Online testing started in June prior to the Graduate Assessment Centre that will be run for England's largest County Council.
The tests are administered by a Level B qualified consultant with successful graduates progressing to the full Assessment Centre next month.
In September, The Development Company will be running an open Assessor Skills Course in conjunction with A&DC to help individuals to become competent assessors at Assessment and Development Centres. The course will be run in South Hertfordshire on September 28th & 29th.
Other assignments in June included the following:
- The first in a series of four development courses was delivered to a group of managers working in the UK Care Sector. The programme is titled "Inspirational Management" and this module focused on the aspects of Personal Leadership.
- A bespoke course was designed and delivered to a small team in a law enforcement agency. The course focused on how the officers could make better use of their intuition and creativity.
- A new cohort of managers at the UK's largest charity undertook the first two days of Management Fundamentals Programme.
- A Personal Effectiveness programme was delivered for managers at a Welsh County Council with a more general Time Management course delivered for non managers at the same authority.
- A new course was designed and delivered for a specialist group to improve written communication. The focus was on communicating with executives and stake holders, presenting a complex business case in terms that are easily understood so that a decision can be made.
- The Development Company has been working with an engineering and construction company in the oil and gas industry to design and implement a new performance review system. This month the system was introduced to the management team which involved a full day workshop.
