January Assignments
January was a very busy month with a rich mix of delivery and discussions about new opportunities.
Two programmes were delivered to the UK's largest charity. The first being the Management Fundamentals programme with Day 3 being delivered to a cohort that undertook Days 1 & 2 of the programme last year. A new cohort started the programme this month.
The second programme was to an extended management team responsible for driving the charity's fund raising activities. This programme was designed and delivered to help the team to grow from a high performing team to an outstanding team.
In the current economic climate all charities are having to work harder to maintain donation levels through fund raising activities.
Other assignments in January included the following:
-
A programme of workshops is being repeated this year for one of the UK's largest engineering and manufacturing companies. These are two day Career Development Workshops for graduates who are near the end of their initial development and are seeking guidance regarding their future careers.
Prior to the workshop the graduates undertake a number of assessment exercises including a feedback process to gain an understanding of their strengths / weaknesses and how they have developed during the graduate programme. During the workshop, input is provided to help the graduates to understand the information gathered and how to use the information to plan their career path and future development.
As a result of the workshop each graduate has acquired a set of tools to help them network with colleagues and mentors, improve their personal impact and produce a personal development plan.
- The last two modules of the seven module Management Development Programme were delivered this month. The programme, for a UK government agency, used a blend of classroom training and self directed learning that led to an ILM accredited certificate.
- Two modules covering the embedding of the organisation's Core Values were delivered as a part of a Management Development programme for a cohort of new managers at one of Wales largest independent training companies.
- Two courses were delivered to separate organisations to improve Personal Effectiveness. The first was to a group of graduates at a large engineering consultancy; the second was to a group of managers at a Welsh County Council.
