January Assignments

As the weather did as much as it could to disrupt January only one day of delivery was postponed until later in the month.

A new programme of workshops kicked off this month for one of the UK's largest engineering and manufacturing companies. These are two day workshops for graduates who are near the end of their initial development and are seeking guidance regarding their future careers.

Prior to the workshop the graduates undertake a number of assessment exercises including a 360 feedback process to gain an understanding of their strengths / weaknesses and how they have developed during the graduate programme. During the workshop, input is provided to help the graduates to understand the information gathered and how to use the information to plan their career path and future development.

As a result of the workshop each graduate had a set of tools to help them network with colleagues and mentors, improve their personal impact and produce a personal development plan.

Other assignments in January include:

  • The final two modules of a Comprehensive Management Development Programme were delivered to a group of managers at one of the largest independent training companies in Wales. These modules focused on stress awareness, strategies for recognising signs of stress and helping staff to address it.

  • The roll out of a seven module Management Development Programme continued this month. The programme, for a UK government agency, will use a blend of classroom training and distance-learning tools that will lead to an ILM accredited certificate.

  • A one day Leading Change workshop was run for a small team of managers at a UK Law Enforcement Agency.

  • A one day Report Writing course was delivered to members of the graduate development programme at a large English County Council.

  • The first two days of a Management Fundamentals programme were delivered to a second cohort at the UK's largest charity.
