April Assignments

With Easter and the Royal Wedding, April has seen many people taking advantage of the public holidays and extending their time off.

Presentation Skills training led the way in April. Three separate courses were run for graduates at a large engineering and manufacturing company, for project managers and consultants at an international engineering consultancy and for a group of non graduate trainees and apprentices (see below).

Other assignments in April included the following:

  • A group of non graduate trainees and apprentices took part in a week long residential programme called Lifeskills II. The electronic and mechanical engineering trainees undertook a week of intensive training which included a session on preparing and delivering high impact presentations and a charity project. This year the group executed the charity project for a local animal sanctuary where they sourced materials to upgrade a paddock with new fencing and plants.

  • Another cohort of new managers started a Management Fundamentals Programme at the UK's largest charity. This comprised two days of trainer input to help the delegates to identify the key attributes of effective managers. The managers will have six weeks to implement and practice the skills learned before returning to the class room for a further day of input and discussion.

  • A two day Managing People course was designed and delivered to a group of eighteen graduate engineers at a large international engineering consultancy.

  • More one to one Coaching sessions were delivered to partners and associates at a Bristol based law firm.

  • A Report Writing course was delivered to a group of graduate engineers as a part of their Graduate Development Programme.
