It makes good sense to develop a culture that uses mentoring as a means to increase knowledge and skills to promote the cross-fertilisation of ideas.

 

In developing a mentoring and coaching culture there are a number of issues to consider for the process to be successful.

Benefits

This course is designed for people who have been assigned the role of mentor to an individual or group of individuals. Participants will:

  • Understand the mentoring process and what a mentor should and should not do
  • Evaluate and test their current competence as a mentor
  • Develop a plan to support effective mentoring relationships

Content

This course will focus on the role that a true mentor plays in the support and development of an individual.

 

In addition to gaining insight regarding the mentoring process and the role of a mentor, there will be opportunities to practice the techniques and explore some real life case studies.
