A Cardiff based training company has been experiencing rapid growth through a combination of successful Welsh Assembly bids and acquisition of smaller training companies.
Ranked as the largest independent training company in Wales, the directors of the company have recognised the need to expand its management team and to invest in its development.
The new team has been formed from existing managers, new recruits (some via the acquisitions) and individuals that have been promoted to management positions.
Twenty managers were identified that would benefit from a programme of training. However, it was also recognised that while all the managers would benefit, it was not really practical to take them all out of the business for a day at a time.
It was decided that the team received the same input and that they progressed through the programme at the same pace. To achieve this, each module was delivered as a half day session with the same session delivered twice on the same day.
The programme was designed to deliver six half day modules covering the following topics:
- Personal Effectiveness and Time Management
- Influence and Leverage
- Motivating Others
- Delegation
- Performance Management
- Dealing with Conflict
